Where’s the ICE?

We replaced a two year old LG that had compressor fail and repairs techs told us to make it a planter and not spend money repairing. We have a KitchenAid dishwasher that matches this model and thought it offered best overall features. Much to love, with the exception of the ice maker. Access door was broken upon arrival, took 2 weeks to get repaired. Makes a slow and paltry volume of ice. Barely enough to handle our family of five in the morning filling school water bottles and a smoothie, after that need a full 24 hours to recharge. Now buying bags of ice instead.....HUGE gap in the product. If ice making is important look elsewhere.
Otherwise the asthetics, lighting, access doors, split drawer freezer, sliding case are all great. Smudge free stainless steel would be good upgrade.

A few drips from the water/ice dispenser for the first couple days but no issues after that. Lots of compliments from family and friends on the looks of it inside and out. Delivery and setup was quick and on time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like but wish the drawers had the option of being freezer or fridge. Also wish Kitchenaide made 4-door versus having a drawer for freezer. Found I lost a lot of freezer space by switching from 4 french doors to drawer style freezer
