First impresions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in late October, but it took over two months until it was manufactured and sent to the dealer. (Original manufacturer's info of a 4-week back-order period was later modified twice!)
This refrigerator has lots and lots of storage space that is intelligently laid out. The two drawers that are separate from the main refrigerator space are especially convenient. The internal bins are also convenient. What's nicest is that having the commodious freezer on the bottom means no bending to access food in the refrigerator sections.
So far the water/ice dispenser works beautifully, but as is commonly known, external ice dispensers are in general the weak point of modern refrigerators. I'll wait and see.

We bought this fridge in November 2016, and loved it up unit October 2018. The freezer compartment door does not seal tightly, there is frost build up within the freezer compartment. Because of the gasket seal failure, the ice maker does not work properly, either it will not make ice or if it does decide to make ice melts within a few hours leaving water to run down the front of the fridge the whole day while we are at work. As of December 2018, we have had the repair service people out 3 times, and issue still is not fixed. We now have more issues the water paddle on the dispenser gets stuck on occasion (yes, we've cleaned out behind the paddle), the "Door open" light signal is on on the panel, and the alarm goes off, even though all doors are closed tightly (we now have our freezer compartment duct taped closed and cannot use it), the interior lights on the fridge no longer turn on, no water or ice can be dispensed at all... So disappointing as we saved for a long time to upgrade to this fridge. I'm an Interior Designer and have been for almost 20 years, I will not be recommending Kitchen Aid ever again. I can't add pictures of video per the website for some reason, though I'd love to add a bunch of epic documentation fails for this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well designed for convenience

Now used to the self closing drawers in the middle, very handy. The butter area inside makes it easy to quickly access how much butter I have. Big freezer with sections for flat pizza, middle for ice cream, frozen vegetables etc. and drawers inside for flatter items, and big items go into the bottom drawer.
Would like a wine rack, now put wine inside a drawer so it does not roll around.
Looks state of the art, no fingerprints. Ice maker is quiet, total refrigerator is quiet, I do not hear it going on and off. Overall, I would buy it again.

NOT HAPPY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Less than 2 months and the Inverter Board died.. Lost 200$ plus worth of groceries and I have been spending money on fast food while waiting for the part. It has been almost 2 weeks without a fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not spacious length wise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 6 months ago and not happy about it at all. Already replaced ice sensor. Ice maker still not making enough ice. It takes 4 to 6hours to make 6 ice cubes. It’s expensive for nothing and will not advise anyone to buy. It’s too noisy

The BEST Kitchenaid Fridge to Date!

We came into the KRMF706ESS after ownership of two earlier floor models we purchased that were condemned by a power surge and damage from the delivery agent. We loved our WP CoolVox WRF997SDDM 3 door and its identical twin from K/A, the KFIS29PBMS. Both were covered under the factory and extended warranty from Warrentech. The KRMF706ESS evolved and is slightly fatter up front from thicker doors. This makes it quiet. The thicker freezer door accommodates SIX frozen pizza against its door when they're removed from the box! The same freezer door can hold 5 or 6 bottles of spirits instead. With that out of the way, the pull out drawer and two sliding drawers are TALL. The useable freezer space allows you to really stock up when those frozen dinners in the red box go on sale. The freezer layout will hold up to 20 of them with plenty of room to spare.
Up top, the icemaker has been perfected with an additional circulation fan that ends condensation drips from the top of the fridge and increases ice production. The ground breaking LED shelf lighting is now standard along with interior LED lighting. The platinum interior is soothing on the eyes. It's the same design innovation as our K/A convection oven that with the warm blue interior. The "fresh herb" drawer is actually a perfect location for over two dozen eggs. The thicker fridge doors accommodate half-gallon milk jugs or tons of condiments. Nothing can hide or get lost in the fridge due to the daylight colored lighting.
The additional two soft close pull out drawers allow easy access to all the kid snacks, deli, yogurt, cheese and do a fine job of preserving the produce. We keep all the fresh meat in main fridge pull out drawers. There is a place for everything. The only thing we find odd is that the ice/water display no longer stays on. The LED at the cup area can be set as a night light but the only way to verify whether ice or water is set to go in the cup is to give the dispenser a quick push to have the display turn on. Temperature control between all the zones is perfect. Expect nothing but fresh with the integrated air and water filter that can be changed without turning off the water supply.

Dream refrigerator!

After pouring over multiple options, we found this design I hadn't even been aware of and instantly fell in love! It has all of the features we needed, is visually appealing, and is big enough to support the needs of a 6 person family. Easy to keep clean, too! We'll be buying the matching stove soon.
