[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator approximately 3 weeks ago and are extremely happy with our purchase! We love the layout of the main part of the refrigerator and like the fact that we can put our produce and lunch meat/cheeses in the two middle drawers, so we can access them without opening the big refrigerator drawers. Our biggest concern was the ice maker, but it has not been a problem at all compared to other brands that we have had. Overall, we are extremely happy with this refrigerator.

Initially loved, but at 54 weeks came the problems

Initially we liked this fridge. It worked fine and had some great functionality. We had wanted to connect it to an Reverse Osmosis system and that worked OK, but ended up causing errors when we could not "replace" the built in filter (because we did not need the filter because the water was already clean). It would give warnings about the "filter" and there was no way to turn off the warning. Given the increasing predominance of whole house filtration systems, it seems silly that this does not have a function to address this. This is a design flaw. We just lived with that frustration, though. We have now just connected it to the regular water and use their filters. But again, generally we liked the fridge.
But as seems to be increasingly the case, 54 weeks after delivery of the fridge, it started to malfunction. It boggles my mind how they are able to ensure that when it breaks, it does so right after the year mark (and outside of the warranty). Now the lights won't go on, the water won't work, nor will the controls for the drawer work. When this is happening it makes a strange click that won't stop (see the video), rather than this click being intermittent. The only way to get it to somehow work again is to unplug it and plug it back in, but then it gives a PF warning (which it did not do in the past when we were told to unplug it by the Kitchenaid people on the phone when trying to work through the Reverse Osmosis issue). Unfortunately we have to unplug and replug it 3-4 times a day now. We'll probably need to have someone to look at it on our dime now (or more like thousands of dimes). So it started strong... but not anymore. Very frustrating to have this happen almost exactly one year into use of a very expensive fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible Product Do NOT buy!!

I have had one problem after the other with this appliance. I bought the entire suite of Kitchenaid appliances for my remodel to replace ones that worked great for years. This refrigerator is junk and the company wont stand by it.

Good looking but issues

We've owned this refrigerator for 1.5 years and jave had many issues. Several months after we purchased it the ice maker stopped dispensing. A year of owning and there has been a brown substance leaking from the inside of the door panel and leaking water from dispenser. This last six months the lights inside have gone out, the control panel doesn't work, water dispenser has stoped working, and now it doesn't cool anymore. Very disappointed with the quality and i expected better for the price we paid.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lots of features
