Terrible Fridge/freezer - costly repairs

5 years old and paid top dollar. Have had nothing but problems. Have had to replace several interior light bulbs, now the freezer and ice maker are not working. Technician said these are junk and not well made. Said expensive parts and difficult diagnosis. Very dissatisfied. Will not buy any Kitchenaid products again. I will be replacing all Kitchenaid with a different brand - enough is enough

Don’t buy

Biggest piece of junk ever. Bought it in July 2023 and it has never cooled properly. I have the freezer temp set at the lowest setting and it only goes down to about 12 degrees. Does not get cold enough for the ice maker to work. Kitchenaid has been out to work on it 4 times and still has not been able to fix it. The warranty department refuses to replace it until it is deemed “unrepairable”.

Not worth even being the Garage Fridge

We've had our fridge for a few years now and we've had nothing but problems. Multiple service calls and even the repair individual did not know what the problem was, out of pocket money for each service call. My husband has had to do multiple "fixes" each time something pops up. From water/ice not dispensing, to icemaker not making ice while all the current ice melts, a clicking noise from the fan, and a "Not Cooling" displaying. For as much as we've paid for this fridge I felt it would last much longer, but alas we've over this constant issue of a fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't buy this!

We bought this 3 years ago and had nothing but problems with it. While we love the layout it just continues not to work to the point our repair guy won't even service it anymore because he said we are waiting our money and it will break again in another 6 months. We really like the layout and bought a KitchenAid for the first time to get what we thought was a quality product but it just doesn't work without constant service so we are replacing it after 3 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Smooth to close drawers issues

Bought this 5 door fridge 10 months ago… and The smooth to close rails drawer on the left side have being an issue. It have been replaced twice and going for the 3rd time… and I have to constantly check twice to make sure the drawer is closed properly. There is no sensor or sounder to warning if a door is left opened. Will be requesting a replacement fridge this may be a lemon. Will update this review later base on what manufacturer actions are.

Great refrigerator design watch out for electroni

Great fridge layout and design… electronic board failed several times in 5 years
There are several electric board hidden everywhere.. finally found a reset routine that helps .. but really a 5 k refrigerator should not fail and cost 600-900 to repair twice in 5 years

Constant Problems

I purchased this refrigerator in 2019 and have had nothing but problems with it. Freezing up, icemaker quit working, freezer drawers have ice buildup, left side of door is raised and cannot be fixed for some reason. It is not the old kitchenaid quality it once was. It was highly recommended by an appliance company, and they could not have been more wrong. Pricey refrigerator for the issues I have been dealing with. The appliance repair guy can't even get it to work correctly.

Best refrigerator ever!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love love this refrigerator! I can’t say enough how efficient this refrigerator is. Having the two drawers on the outside helps keep the refrigerator cold. Easy to get what we use most in those two drawers.
We also love the freezer with 3 drawers. Oh and the pizza holder in the door.
