Disappointing and Unreliable

I bought this refrigerator in 2018. In the first year, the logic board went out of it causing the lights inside the refrigerator to flash on and off initially and then finally they went out altogether. It was quite a feat to get someone to come out to look at it and I had purchased an extended warranty as well. After much back and forth with the retailer I purchased it from, someone was finally sent out to look at it. They determined that it needed a new logic board. We waited forever to get an initial appointment to get it diagnosed and waited a while again for the logic board to come in. It was replaced only to fail again within a year or so, and now I currently still have a refrigerator with a failed logic board. I also purchased a matching KitchenAid electric range (double oven with convection) that had a heating element fail within the first year of ownership. I've spoken with several technicians who said that these products are so "over engineered" that failure is literally imminent. Shiny and new may pull you in, but I am now convinced that simple is better. Considering the high price I paid for both of these units, it's simply unacceptable that they have performed so poorly. I seriously doubt I will ever purchase another KitchenAid product.

So much useful space!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been wanting this fridge since before the pandemic. But I didn’t need it. My current fridge was full depth French door. It was making a death rattle so I decided to just do it. And wow!! Everything came out of the old one and I was shocked to see when it went back in I had a ton of extra space. I love the fully adjustable shelves, my produce stays fresh. Everything is so organized. And the bottom freezer with the different pull out shelves makes it easy to organize and find what you need. So glad I finally got it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

BUYER BEWARE

I thought I was purchasing a premium product, especially for the price. Worked great for the first year. Now it keeps giving me problems. The ice will not work half of the time, lights refuse to work half of the time, even though I check all the drawers and make sure they are closed. I have to pull the refrigerator out, unplug for 5 minutes to get it to work properly. I purchased this in September of 2021, I can only imagine the issues will continue to get worse. KitchenAid you need to do better. By the reviews, there are hundreds of people having the same problems. This is the most expensive appliance I have ever purchased, and by far the absolute worst!!!

UNRELIABLE

It will brake within first few years, guaranteed! You will go through numerous parts replacement, specifically electronic panels, you will have spoiled food and your expensive fridge will not get fixed! Beautiful fridge, awful manufacturer!

Looks good, but poor performance

Bought this after a house fire, so after losing everything I decided to splurge on my dream kitchen and this refrigerator has been horrible, bought in October of 2017 and the icemaker has been nothing but trouble, an expensive poorly designed nightmare

Two years for nothing

We had this about two years 2018-2020 lights needs to be fix and the cooler wasn’t working its go on and off. We had someone fix the refrigerator 10 times. Two years for nothing buy we got our money back. So people don’t buy this refrigerator waste of money.

Multiple issues after only 3 months!

We've had this fridge for 3 months and already the ice maker has broken and the bottom drawer tray has an air leak somewhere and frost builds up over 2" thick. We had a tech come out last week and ordered multiple parts which were installed 2 days ago. Now we also have a new noise problem with the fridge that didn't exist before. Neither issue is fixed and KitchenAid refuses to send a different company out to fix the problems.

KitchenAid Does Not Stand Behind Product!

Great idea but to many problems and then eventually deemed not reparable and offered a buyout at 30%, If they could fix all of the issues would be a great fridge.
