Getting Nervous

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently purchased this model as part of a full kitchen-aid suite. The unit has been plugged in for a week but has not been used because of delays in the remodeling of our kitchen. So far we've had to call service for a dent in the door at the handle mounting screw. This looks to be how it came from the factory. Now it seams we'll have to call again for other issues. The first as stated in other reviews is the splashing of the water dispenser. The water does not come out as a smooth stream but as a splatter that splashes all over the dispenser area, handles below it and the floor. The second and most troubling is the ice maker. Besides taking an eternity to make ice, once it's filled, the ice clumps together and begins to thaw and leak thru the water dispenser. I only noticed this because, again, the fridge is not in use and there shouldn't have been water in the dispenser area.
I'm glad I purchased the extended warranty but this is a pretty bad way to start for a refrigerator in this price range. I'm hoping this gets fixed thru cutomer service and that I didn't buy what will be a constant headache.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love that the ice cube maker is in the door and doesn't take half of my shelving space away. And then the two drawers in the freezer bin is very helpful for organizing my frozen goods. All the features were well thought out for an efficient refrigerator.

The inside color is so pleasing to the eyes and not shocking like fridges that are the standard white inside. The outside handles withe the red on the ends is also so appealing to look at. Not only is the fridge beautiful but it is designed so that it can be easily organized. I am extremely happy with this purchase and would not hesitate to recommend this fridge to everyone.

There are 2 things that concern me, when it cycle runs it's pretty loud which seems strange based on how quite all the other appliances are. The ice maker is a lot smaller, which may be an issue when all of our family are here.
