Problems On Going

DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE!!! We have had this fridge for 3 years now & there have been nothing but problems. Waste of money spent as well. I bought this for the capacity & it is huge inside but our old fridge we keep on the garage works 10 times better than this garbage. Waste of money just keep going down a drain since that is all we do to fix this garbage each time. Worst decision made ever! Had to give an overall rating, wish it could let us not even pick 1 star cause I would rate as ZERO stars!

Beautiful Refrigerator

I was replacing a 15 year old Kitchenaid refrigerator that is still working in the garage. I wasn't sure about the two middle drawers but now I use them all the time. Not only do I have plenty of storage the refrigerator is very quiet. I am very happy with it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 2nd time we have outfitted our entire kitchen with KitchenAid appliances and everything we've owned in the past has been great, until now. We must have bought the factory reject. The doors will not align, the seals leak, the shelves are not level, the ice maker leaks water, it doesn't maintain the proper temperature.And now we cannot return it because of the stores Covid-19 policy. Good thing we still have our old one.But we will buy another KitchenAid but probably a 3 door.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great when it works correctly!

I refrigerator is just over 2 years old and right at the two year mark it has been downhill ever since. First started with ice maker and water dispenser not working, had that fixed and ever since nothing but constant problems. Refrigerator temp wildly fluctuates from freezer temps to high 40's. This causes the ice maker to melt leading to water all over the floor, damaging finished cabinetry. Ice maker/water dispenser and controller randomly stop working. Dispenser will randomly state filter needs replacing when it is just a few months old. I will get massive build up of ice on freezer door gaskets as condensation from refrigerator runs down. In last two months I have had to reset breaker every 3-4 days or less. I had a tech here over a week ago and I am still waiting on a response from the manufacturer for a fix. Meanwhile I have had to clean up water twice and reset the breaker 3 times.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A very expensive anchor

Our fridge didn't even last 3 years. When researching fridges this one had great reviews so we chose it - worst decision ever. about 3 months ago it started acting up and dispensing water on its own / interior lights would stop working / water/ice dispenser would stop working. It also sounded like a 747 coming in for a landing - service tech came out and said sounds like both motherboards were glitching and he could replace them but KitchenAid has not resolved the problem and it would most probably happen again. So he reset the fridge and it worked for another 4-6 weeks. Then it stopped cooling or freezing - had a service tech come again and the lines were frozen. Then a week ago it just stopped working all together and we ended up with a flood of water. Will never buy another Kitchenaid product again.

Terrible troubles

door/drawer. Also within the first year it started the same thing. Inside cabinet freezing and then dripping from the top of cabinet. Still working after 6 months to get it replaced. I loved all my other KitchenAid but the refrigerator had been a NO

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very attached to our old 30 year old refrigerator. But, this new one is a gem in style, and I hope it will give us good service into the future. I am relearning where the best place is for daily used items. I like the added space with the freezer drawers at the bottom half, and the spacious upper half. The LED lights are soft on the eyes and appreciated, as I can find everything I am looking for. The Platinum interior is gentle to the eyes, rather than the stark- white interior. The multiple selection drawer with divider for meat/fish, cold drinks, greens/herbs, deli/cheese, or thaw/marinate drawer, is convenient when you don't want to open everything up and let the cold escape. The freezer is nice with the two sliding drawers, the bigger open bin, and the InDoor-PizzaStorage, that will hold multiple 12 inch pizzas. The filtered water and the ice cube or crushed selection is wonderful. You have to see the refrigerator to truly appreciate the thoughtful design that went into this build.

The space is uncomparable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the refrigerator seversl monthd ago and have not regretted it once. Everytime I open it, I smile. Everything fits -- large or small. We have stopped using a smaller refrigerator we had in the refrigerator -- no need. Love, love, love it!
