Drawer issues

Purchased for our new home 2-1/2 years ago. Drawers seems to have condensation issues which causes electrical shortages; unable to be repaired. Seems to have a design flaw. Wouldn't recommend this refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great lay out and gorgeous refrigerator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and I’m very happy with my refrigerator! I love the layout and the amount os space. The produce drawers are clear, making it easy to keep track of what’s inside. I’ve noticed that my produce stays fresh longer in this refrigerator. The two fridge drawers are great for me, I use one for produce and the other for meats and cold cuts. The freezer is organized well with three levels - makes it easy to see what I have and things don’t get buried and forgotten. And the storage in the freezer door for pizza is genius! I am very happy with the amount of ice that it makes. Very satisfied with my purchase so far!

Run away from this piece of junk

My original 1 star review submitted 2 weeks ago is no longer showing here. Just bringing it back for more.
Purchased this KRMF706ESS01 in 2017, started having issues with freezer not cooling the refrigerator not cooling in 2021. Had respected local service co come out and service, had KA send a technician in 2022 and last week, 1st said it needed new control board (replaced by local tech in 2022) and latest KA tech said nothing is wrong with it (he was here during one of its rare functioning periods).
Today's call resulted in KA telling me there is no warranty on this unit and they will not send out any tech. They did offer a 15% discount on another KA product purchased through their website. Why through good money after bad?
Like my 1st review said - run away from this and any KA product.

DO NOT BUY!

Do Not Waste Your Money! Bought in 2017 with 5 year extended warranty. Just a few of the parts/problems we have replaced/experienced: lights not working, several thermostats, control panel, ice maker, unit freezes up, neither fridge or freezer cools, sealed system leak. Even the repair guys don't know what to do with it anymore. It is now nothing but a large warm box in the kitchen. Calling & emailing customer service is a wasted effort.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful but warm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a gorgeous fridge, Unfortunately, the coolest we can get it is about 57 degrees. We bought thermometers to test it. It's not our imagination. Have thrown away lots of meat that's gone rancid within a day or two, and now will have to throw away my son's expensive medicine and wait until it's time for a refill. It's such a nice-looking fridge, but we need more than a nice decoration. We need to keep food cold. Water dispenser comes out lukewarm. We have to add ice to the milk to make it cold. PLUS, it's loud. It sounds like a motorcycle is in our kitchen. Super disappointed.

Horrible freezer system

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this fridge and it was delivered in December 2016. I moved into the house after renovations in april 2017. After a few months of light usage, the freezer on the left side rails started to frost. A service technician was called and wind appliances who is the authorized service provider for my area arrived and his diagnosis was that the frost build up was due to human error. It was recommended i shut down the fridge for 24 hrs and the frost will disappear, what about the $800 worth of food i have in there??? I only have 1 fridge!!! $3800!!! When the fridge was delivered the doors were never taken apart because i have a 60" wide patio door. Kitchaide help!!!! Not a very happy customer. I'm pointing out to the technician that it's a bad seal and he refused to replace it. There's a 1mm gap from the drawer to the fridge!!! He refused to fix unless i shut down the fridge for 24 hrs, i have a 4 year old at home, he needs to eat. I used a heavy glove and towels and removed all the ice build up on the left side rails and they came back.

Where is the quality workmanship?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this model and had a repair man to our home within a week. Then we had to have the unit replaced. Then the new unit came and the workmanship was terrible. The visible adhesive left on the doors, the poor door alignment and the aesthetics are terrible and lacking the quality that Kitchen Aid has had in the past. I included a picture of the adhesive. I also went to two different retailers and the floor models there have the same issue. This is QA issue and not isolated.
