I previously owned a separate cuisinart salt and pepper shaker. The salt shaker developed a charging problem after several years, so I purchased this replacement. I am very happy with the purchase as it is an upgrade from the previously owned unit. It is very convenient to have both salt and pepper in one unit. I would highly recommend it. I also bought my daughter one.
