We needed a bottom venting dryer this fit the bill, It was easy to convert and install by myself, Thanks GE for recognizing that all homes are not the same as the masses. The controls are easy to understand you don't have to be a computer wiz to run it. Runs quiet and drys cloths fast. Happy wife happy life.

Bought this in July 2013.. and i like the way it dries everything..The lint catcher is plastic (not the best) but overall its pretty good

No Frills. Dries Clothes Well.

I heard that GE are good products and lasts long. I already have a GE clothes washer and a dishwasher. This dryer is no frills, no fancy bells and whistles like other fancy and more expensive dryers around -- it does what it is supposed to do. My advice about the lint trap is that you do not have to remove the tray. All you need to do is slide your finger from left to right (or right to left) in the lint trap opening. Easy enough to remove the lint.

only issues are 2: not crazy about lint screen. hard to get to to clean every time, kind of flimsy.
has a continuous hum to it when it runs, called repairman, said it was a normal sound,
otherwise, like it alot.
