I bought the rechargeable vacuum unit for travel purposes and it came with some of these bags. It worked well so I decided to buy more bags and an adapter for my home 'normal' Foodsaver system. My only issue is even with the double zipper, these do slowly leak air in, so they are really only for a few days storage for things like cheese you want to prevent molding. NOT for freezer use.

These bags are nice but I've only been able reuse them a couple of times before they won't hold the vacuum.After that they can still be used as a regular ziploc bag.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I really, really like this product because I have the food saver machine already. I didn't know to use the vacuum hose on my machine until I reread the instruction booklet again. An I purchased a small adapter from Food Saver that works very well with the hose in sealing the quart bags and the gallon bags also. I do use mostly quart bags for the smaller amounts of foods that I purchase from the supermarkets.
