Great for foods you use frequently!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these bags! Great for lunch meat, cheese, veggies, or anything you open and close daily. I pack lunches and find it economical to use. I transfer cheese slices, turkey, celery, carrots, berries to these bags. The user friendly zipper makes it easy to open , unlike regular zipping bags that you can't get open or rip itthe process . Simply zip, vaccum, and food remains fresh for much longer. If you don't have a handheld vaccum, you can also use the vaccum hose on your vaccum sealer. Great way to avoid food waste with the climbing cost of food. Thumbs up!

I have had 5 FoodSavers and I have always loved them, so when I saw that they came out with the hand held FreshSaver, I wanted one. I love it! I use it to seal all of the items (lunch meats, cheese, etc.) that I used to just put in regular zip lock bags. It plugs in and is continually recharging, so it is always ready. I love this little handheld machine so much, that I bought two of them for my daughter-inlaws as Christmas gifts this year. I love that it will work with anyone's vacuum bags, however, I have been looking for a supply of these vacuum bags, because they have the wide bottom and work a little bit better than the others.

No theses bags are not as good as the regular bags, but they are very handy for those resealable items like cheese, hot dogs and cold cuts etc. I like the unit enough so that I bought an extra for myself and several as gifts when they were on sale.

Don't put in the freezer!

The square tab falls off and the seal is lost if the bag is placed in the freezer. They should place a notice " do not freeze" on the box. Otherwise a great product.

Absolutely not for freezer use

While the description does say Refrigerated items, I would not expect the bags to be completely useless in the freezer. When used the freezer, the little airlock tabs simply fall off with no provocation whatsoever, allowing air in the bags. Kinda pointless in my case as I am apartment dweller and do not have room for a full sized machine. I currently use the Ziplock brand vacuum bags. They work great with the Foodsaver handheld and hold up well in the freezer. Foodsaver needs to come up a freezer version of these bags so that folks like me that don't have the room for a full sized appliance can enjoy the benefits of vacuum sealing for the freezer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I buy my cheese in 10 pound blocks. No, I can't eat that much. But I will and I can, because I can just keep them in these wonderful bags that I can open so easily and get out a block and cut off what I want and reseal. Not forever, though. I don't waste bags, but I won't usually use a bag for more than two or three openings and then I want a fresh one. It's kept those big blocks of cheese fresh for weeks and weeks. I love them!

I just started using these and the Gallon zipper bags. They are great, they kept my homemade cookies super fresh. Like, day-of fresh for a week! Maybe longer, but they were eaten by then. Which is the other reason I love the zipper part- being able to open and re-seal over and over is really the best part. My cheese stays fresh and non-moldy so much longer, and veggies too. I don't feel like I'm wasting as much plastic.

Love Love it. I have owned and used FoodSaver vacuum systems for over 13 years and have happy. The hand held is a marvel.
The bags serve many purposes and keep things fresh for long periods of time.
My only complaint is the 2800 series I understand is no longer available. This model is great..Bought one for my mom and also have one. We replaced the gaskets but other than that no problem. Not to keen on the new standup models....too much bag waste. Keep the good products coming.
