I received a new vacuum sealer for Christmas (the FM5460) . This replaced an older vacuum sealer and I've now owned 4. They get used daily and I would not be without one. These bags came in a sample pack with the new sealer and they work great on block cheese. Worth every penny.

I just started using my machine. I had a little trouble figuring out how to work it and how to insert the bags, but, I have that down pat now. The bags have really come in handy. My daughter also gave me some suggestions that I'm going to do, like putting crackers in them to keep them fresh. Never thought about that.

I don't know what magic makes these bags work but they do. It was so easy to use that even I was able to do it as soon as I opened the package. I tend to put stuff in the freezer and forget its there so it will be interesting to see if they do prevent freezer burn. Without any air in the bag I'm sure they will hold up longer than the old method.

Very handy when in a hurry and don't want to use a regular sealable pouch. Just don't want to overfill as it becomes harder to draw the air out. Need to have a fairly flat surface where you place the 'suckie' at.

Freeze away!

I started using these several years ago, but I use them ONLY in freezer. Ground meat, roasts, boneless chicken breasts and thighs, virtually anything you can freeze AND they are wonderful! No freezer burn. I freeze items up to 3 months with no problems whatsoever. I freeze cooked leftovers also for a fresh cooked taste. I had no idea they were not for freezing..... but with my good luck I will continue. I only use my bags once, then dispose.

These bags allow for a wide range of storage options. I am able to store cheese, meats, dried fruits & nuts, cereals and frozen cookie dough portions, this to name a few.
