This product does exactly what I need done.

I use my Food Saver primarily to keep my whole bean coffee airtight and fresh. After 6 mos of use, I am completely satisfied with the results and recommend it to you too. I have used the airtight bags for occasional food storage with good results as well. If the bag is used properly and not abused, the airtight seal will maintain itself for weeks. Reuse of a bag works to a certain degree, but stress will weaken the seal in short time. For keeping things airtight, Food Saver works and is comfortably priced.

When I found out that Food Saver had bags I was really excited that I was going to save some money because they are reusable, instead of using just the rolls. Boy am I disappointed. I've used them to seal raw cauliflower after I cut it into pieces and put it in the refrigerator vegetable drawer; when I was going to use it, the bag was full of air and when I opened it, I thought I was going to throw up because of the smell that came out of it. I've done this with zip lock bags and never experienced any smell except for the real cauliflower smell. I will never buy these again. I have also experienced a little smell with the rolls when I freeze fish. I think it has a lot to do with the kind of chemicals are used to make these items. Makes me wonder how bad this is for our health.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
