After one use the zipper won't close.

I thought the FoodSaver Vacuum Zipper Bags were reuseable, but after only one use the zipper won't close on the 4 bags I had used only once before.
Did I get a defective package of bags or are these intended to be used one time only?

Zipper bags are the way to go!

My first order of a bag each of quart and gallon vacuum zipper bags were so convenient. They are easy to wash and reuse. We found that uses for them multiply and we are ordering more 3 more boxes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really wanted to like these

I really did want to like these bags, especially the gallon size with the gusset. However, they only seem to stay sealed if, after sealing them, you put them in stasis where nothing else touches them, otherwise, they lose their seal after a few days of being moved around in the fridge or freezer. I'm trying to figure out what to do with the one's I've got. They've become a vacuum bag of last resort.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I dont know what the people are doing that say these bags dont hold a seal, i have been using mine for deli meats and cheeses with no problems holding a seal! i have even washed and reused them. great bags !

Good product could be better

Like the handheld a lot. Retired on fixed income so bulk purchase to save as much as possible. FS bags work great in refrigerator so far. I do a lot of freezing and am now leery of using the FS bags in freezer after reading reviews.
Have used competitors model. Vac unit worked some times, they eventually pulled it off market. Bags work great all the time. Better zipper, larger opening, usable in freezer, washable & reusable.
Will have to resereve judgement on bags until I run out of the good ones.

I used these bags over and over with items that I don't finish like lunch meat. The unit is so handy and easy to use any time. Best system since sliced bread!
