I have been using FoodSaver for 6 months and I am loving it. This product is great for saving food in frige to keep it fresh. The bags are sealed very well. They are reusable and good quality to last.

I won't do without "FoodSaver Vacuum Zipper Bags"

Either Quart or Gallon size Zipper Bags are strong, reusable, tight sealing & re-sealing, easy to use, and they preserve my foods for longer than I anticipated. I can't believe I waited so long to try them.
I use the Zipper Bags on cheeses, cold cuts, meats (raw or cooked), vegetables, sweets that would normally go stale, etc. As I often engage in hot water bath cooking, I need as much air out of the cooking bag as possible, so that the bags will stay submerged in the water. FoodSaver Vacuum Zipper bags do the job. (I have not exceeded water temps over 160°F, by company recommendation.)
I am impressed with this product, and recommend its use for saving in pantry, refrigerator or freezer, bag reusing, and for hot water bath cooking.

No brown avocados

I make smoothies every morning, and use 1/2 avocado. I take the other 1/2 and put it into quart ziplock bag. Seal and take all air out.Next day no brown avocado! Great to reuse on apples and avocados no more brown fruit.Also use on my frozen raspberries and fruit no more freezer burn..

I have been using these to store meat in the freezer in one use size packages. I use them with my counter top vacuum and it is so easy and convenient. I can pick out a pack of ground beef, veal and pork to make a meatloaf or pork chops, chicken or whatever I want for a single meal. they do a good job of protecting the meat inthe freezer and are easy to open . I can take advantage of sales and then package the meat in meal size bags for the freezer to use later. I have just started using a Sous vide cooking method and these bags do well. They hold a vacuum under heat and are easy to clip to the side of the container.

I really like these Zipper bags. They are a life saver. I mainly use them to store food in the freezer. But, I noticed lately the small plastic piece, where you suck out the air, at times fall off the bag. Not all bags, just an occasional bag here and there. I noticed this happens if the bag is in the freezer longer than one month. Then, the air gets in which then can cause the food to get freezer burn.
