Years ago I had an idea for this wheeled backpack but never found one. This fits the bill perfectly. I'm older now and can't maneuver more than one suitcase at a time. And I don't like hauling a suitcase on city streets when overnighting. This backpack is the answer. And beautifully made. I'm totally enthusiastic.

I have had other regular back packs from Samsonite through my college years, and adore them and their quality! I have been looking for a wheeled backpack instead now because I started nursing school over a month ago and a regular book was not cutting it for me and my needs. I had been reading reviews etc. for multiple brands, but really wanted to stick with Samsonite! I saw other people were nursing students as well and purchased this one! And I am so glad I did now too! It's been over two weeks, I use it every single day! It's large, spacious, so many pockets and sturdy! Easy to roll, carry up steps by the single handle if needed and has back straps if you wanted to do that. I personally don't see me using the bookbag straps ever. I love it though. It's costly but even as a broke college student, it's worth it to protect your back! Recommend for anyone in programs requiring to carry books, laptop, clinical supplies etc!! #sweepstakes

Happy with the Samsonite Tectonic 21" Wheeled Backpack

This backpack has a lot of room. I am currently using it with 6 Nursing text books, a binder and a notebook in the main section, stethoscope, penlight, pencils, pens, highlighters, lead, and erasers in the other compartments. I still have room to toss my jacket in as well as some snacks. The bottle holder on the very front holds the large water bottles nicely. The zippers move easily and have not become stuck. The wheels move nicely on any surface (I've used them on carpet, linoleum, wood, cement, and asphalt). The handle is a decent length; I don't feel like I'm bending over to grab it. I've not used it as an actual backpack and don't plan to. Overall, this is a decent rolling backpack.

This is a great bag. You can use it as a backpack if you are not carrying a lot of stuff; however, if you pack heavy items, you can easily pull out of the handle and use it as a carry-on bag. It is a bit heavy than I expected. Also, if you pack a lot of items, you may have trouble putting the bag into an overhead compartment in a flight.

I packed this to the hilt for my last two trips - managed to get my needed carry on items in without difficulty. It fits well in the airline overhead storage. The top carry handle is strong and comfortable when gripped. When using the pull-along handle the backpack would flop to one side as I turned.
