We have 4 pets and love to cook. Between litter boxes and cooking smells this unit seems to work really well. One of my worst fear is our house stinks like our dogs and cats and we don't realize it. This helps with that and I've notice less dust in the air. We love Blueair and plan to get smaller ones for the bedrooms. Very quiet I don't even notice it on.

After spending most of my time at home for a year, I found that I was very congested. It turns out that I have a strong allergy to dust now. Even after visiting an ENT and trying different medications, there was no relief. I was miserable because I couldn't breathe.
Someone suggested an air purifier. I did some research and Blueair was highly rated. It was worth a try.
Within a few days, I noticed that I was no longer stuffy and could finally breathe!
These gadgets are great. I plan on buying a few more for the rest of the house.

Easy to set up and has very clearly helped my allergies!
I can clearly see that it works, I've had a few instances when my kitchen got smokey and it immediately turned red - within ~5 minutes it was back to blue (clean air). I am super happy with the purchase and I will be buying another for a different room!

Blueair is asking for a review, so here goes. I purchased the 211+ auto for my great room and the health protect 7470 for my bedroom. So far I love the health protect 7470 unit but I am not sure about the 211+ auto. What I do like about the 211+ auto unit is it is pretty quiet on the auto setting. What I am not sure about is if it is functioning properly. So far it always stays on its lowest setting (in auto mode) and the integrated light stays blue which indicates the air is fine. Okay, well the air is fine that’s great. But then I don’t know if the unit is working correctly or not since it has not yet “activated” in response to sensing anything bad in the air. So I had a fire in our wood burning stove and even left the door open for a bit with the air filter unit placed about 7 feet from the stove. The unit did not sense any particulate matter or smoke or anything to trigger it to kick into clean the air mode. Maybe the air in my home is that clean but I can not say for sure and I want to know this unit is functioning properly. So far I am on the fence about keeping this one (but I love my health protect unit amd it is indeed working as described on the product listing page). I just am not sure my 211+ auto unit is really working as it is supposed to. I may return it and try a different product.

It was so good at the beginning but now it randomly goes on high when there’s nothing in the air or surroundings to make it so.
