Very noisy when running and seems to run most of the time. The veggie/fruit drawers in the bottom of fridge are very hard to open and close. Just slide extremly hard and must be muliplated to get them to go straight. Ice forms on the top and the freezer door and top of freezer compartment next to door,.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought apprx 3 months ago and we have had no issues with it. We purchased with factory installed ice maker. That is working great, also!

We had a larger refrigerator before buying this one which was not practical for our needs. This smaller GE is perfect for a couple of two.

I bought my refrigerator around the Thanksgiving&Christmas holidays last year. I was preparing holiday dishes and I needed a good refrigerator to keep my food in. This wa an excellent choice. I am very satisfied!

Don't buy!

This refrigerator has been the worst I've ever owned. It is extremely noisy-sounds like rocks grinding as it goes through its cycle. Called for service after 2 weeks and the serviceman replaced a part. The noise did not improve at all. The noise is embarrassing when people come to visit. The grinding sound has improved a little over the year. I decided to keep it because of limited choices for the space that I have.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This refrigerator is always doing something. What compounds the problem is that the icemaker never shuts off. I have opened the freezer and seen the arm functioning that should shut it off. After a recent vacation there was a landslide of ice. So, besides all the noise it makes to just run, when I turn off the icemaker it constantly seems to be doing checks of the icemaker! It keeps the food cold. The price was right. I am not too concerned because appliances don't last 30 years like they used to so I will be looking for another one within 10 years!
