Reliable but not that flexible

We have had this refrigerator for approximately 4 months and find that is is reliable but has weak design features. In particular, the bottom two slots on the door are so narrow that they only hold one bottle width (i.e. a 16 ounce coke bottle but not a 2 liter bottle). A better design would have been a little less depth in the two bottom drawers and more depth on the slots on the door. In addition, there is no option to collapse a shelf into half so the shelf below can hold a tall container for a short period of time. lastly, the shelves in the freezer do not have front lips so frozen bags of vegetables have to be carefully stacked so they don't slide out. Overall, it is reliable as I expected given that it is a GE product but the design needs improvement. They need to go back and look at some of the features in their earlier models that had higher functionality and flexibility.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Perfect Fit.....

We bought this fridge when we did our kitchen remodel. It matched the stove perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a more "Perfect Fit"

The updated features of this new GE refrigerator complement the electronics and updated features of our new GE stove, oven, and dishwasher. For looks, dependability, and cost effectiveness, we've found GE products to beat the competition.
