I bought this ref. about 2 mo's ago and was so discusted with it within a week i had called the salesman and told him we absolutley could not live with it. it flooded the kitchen for the third time. i knew the problem was just poor engineering and decided to correct it myself. a cut off tool and 2min. was all it took to shorten the paddle used to fill water glass on the door. we always have a glass of ice water on this shelf and the way you have it designed it will hold the water on. so if your not real careful you can walk away and flood your kitchen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

love the metal handles!

This is my 2nd GE and the last one the handles were not metal but plastic so they were constantly dirty from hand prints ,, not any more thanks to the redesign !

Little nosy, however it keeps food fresher longer and filter water taste great, save money from buying water.

We've had this side-by-side for almost a year now and have been extremely pleased with it. We had to replace an old almond color side-by-side and were skeptical about this color but it's a perfect match for the rest of the kitchen appliances. It took a little while to get used to the shelves and bins compared to the old unit but everything is very convenient. The ice maker is awesome as it provides a constant supply of ice for us. We're very happy with this GE appliance!

I bought this refrigerator in March 2014. The noise is sometimes almost unbearable. When the motor is running there is a high grinding noise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
