Terrible refrigerator wish I never bought it. I will have to consider another brand since I may have to replace this one after 3 years

Broken Handles

I am very unhappy with this refrigerator. We have replaced handles twice costing half as much as refrigerator

Not up to GE's usual quality standard

Purchased this unit in February of 2017. Not even a year old and have had 3 service calls for the freezer not working - blows warm air and thaws all of my frozen food. Tech came out and replaced parts 3 times already, and now it's doing it again. Third time is the charm - will get a replacement, but hopefully NOT the same model! This one is garbage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Within a few months I had a big icing problem in duct between refrigerator and freezer. Pulled some strings (because I'm an Architect specifying a lot of GE appliances) and sales Dept had someone fix it - said there were some bad parts. Worked fine since then.
Later the door handles cracked and I had to replace them. The design was faulty - not enough meat in the plastic at screw holes and tightening them caused cracks. Couldn't get biscuit color matched handles to it looks a little odd now, but the replacement handles have stood up.
I would recommend this to a friend!
