Great refrigerator for price and energy savings !!!

This unit replaced a 38 year old GE/Hotpoint 21 cu.ft. refer. I was immediately impressed with the QUIET operation. Most times it is whisper quiet. For a basic model, it is well lit inside and I love the clear glass shelves. The freezer is not as large as my old unit, but its fine for my uses. The quality is solid, and seems to be well constructed. The soda/beer can/bottle holder on the very bottom is convenient. The unit uses about 1/8 as much as my old one. I will have to turn up the heaters in my kitchen/dining area to keep warm now that the refer isn't running constantly! Great buy for the price!

Great quality at low price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When our secondary fridge died, we needed one fast! But, we weren't willing to spend a ton of cash. This model had everything we needed, was more energy efficient than our old one - and came in on budget!

Noisy Refrigerator

This refrigerator replaced a 29 year old Westinghouse 5 days ago and is my main refrigerator in the kitchen, so the moaning and humming when it is running is very annoying. There was a gap in the top of the gasket so they sent a repairman to fix it. He said that noise is common and is caused by less freon in the compressor and not as much insulation in this construction grade refrigerator. Very disappointed in having to listen to that future noise as I sit at my kitchen table,

not worth the price- interior is too small inside and the motor is so noisy, I can hear it above my TV when I am in the living room.

Product no longer manufactured and I guess I understand why. Door handle broke within a years time and not covered in warranty go figure. Pointless getting one to purchase a warranty upon purchase if their are certain items not covered that manufacturer is aware will be an issue later.
