Its a standard microwave. It works well so far. The only regret is that the keypad does not light up so at night you have to turn on the room lights to see which buttons to push.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A very good microwave

I replaced my old microwave with this one and it is very attractive and performs very nicely. I would recommend this to anyone.compared to my old one it is a little thicker so it sits a little farther out from the cupboard, the blower is a little louder and the beeper.chime is much softer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This microwave has excellent added features we did not have on our last one. The only downfall is that it does not have the "1 button " touch like our last one did. I do like the sensor cooking and the other cooking options they are found within the menus. Over all we are very satisfied with our new Whirlpool microwave.

One thing Needs improvement

The microwave is great accept for two things that could be changed in the design. 1. The door does not hinge in on itself as the refrigerator does so the door would be even with the outside of the cabinet in a full open position. 2. My biggest complaint is the digital key pad panel should have been designed to light up as it does on the whirlpool refrigerators with ice dispensers. If you have dim lighting in the kitchen, you can't see the key pad. You have to turn the lights up to see it. Grrrrr

My new Whirlpool microwave is so simple to use and love the features available on it, especially the steam feature. It's great for vegetables and heating bread.

The installation was pretty easy. The operation seems fairly easy. It is however an adventure finding which setting works best for some results. So far it has matched expectations

Great features, finish a problem

We like the product with all the features. The problem we have is with the front. We chose black to match the rest of the appliances and It is already scratched from using it. The finish is not very durable. The handle will look really bad very soon.
