Really Disappointed

Having just remodeled our kitchen we thought our Whirlpool microwave was a great buy after some research reading reviews. It ended up having two problems. The first was the cooktop light fixture that would not turn on as desired. Luckily this problem has been fixed. The second one (still ongoing) is the sensor that detects if the microwave door has been closed or opened. With this issue, the microwave does not turn on (It thinks the door is still opened). After replacing the microwave control panel few weeks ago, the problem is back. I still need to open a new service request to fix this issue.Being such useful appliance nowadays, it has been a stressful experience for my family to own a Whirlpool microwave.I wouldn't buy any other appliance from Whirlpool, considering that we plan to upgrade our refrigerator and ranges with new models.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product with a lot of features

I really like that the air vents are covered at the top, my last one had open vents that were very hard to clean. The features are great and very easy to use because they are built into the menu itself, no more cheat sheets or trying to remember to look at the door before you close it! I just wish they would have included the steam basket with the microwave. It is not an expensive item, you pay extra for the steam feature; seems it should come with it? I lowered the star rating because of this. But over all, I love the microwave and would recommend to any one!

WE HAVE ENJOYED OUR NEW MICROWAVE. IT HAS SIMPLE TO USE BUTTONS AND THE FOOD IS ALWAYS COOKED PERFECTLY. I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I have been very happy with my Microwave oven. Easy to install, easy to use. the light under the oven covers a large surface. Excellent features.
