Fantastic Microwave

I love this microwave. I recently moved in to a new home where this microwave was built it above the range. It's perfect; easy enough for my kids to operate, but with enough features to do everything I need in the kitchen. It defrosts meat and reheats entrees like a dream. My favorite feature is the pleasant chime it makes when time's up!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great unit, weak alarm sounds.

Excellent microwave, with only 2 small complaints. When the timer/end alarm goes off, it is very weak, and there is no way to raise the volume level. You can be in the next room and not hear the timer. Our older Whirlpool that this replaced did not have that problem.Also, this has the same type of bulb/opening underneath (light for over the stove top). The opening goes from left to right, but the bulb has to be put in the shorter distance from front to back. This makes it very hard to do, as there in not much room. Our older WP microwave had the same set up and we went thru bulbs very fast, as they would become detached from the metal screw base. This leads to problems getting the base out as there is no room to work.On the plus side, the new unit has a timer for the bottom light (over the stove top) which is a nice feature.

It is very easy to use and I love the chimes sounds when your meal is ready. It is stainless and has a sleek look to it. This microwave will match well with any stainless appliances in your kitchen.

The microwave has met our expectations thus far. It is easy to use, and has very good features. The price was one that was affordable. Additionally this was a product that was the only one that met installation requirements in our kitchen.I would recommend this microwave with one caveat. How long will it last? Unfortunately the last Whirlpool microwave we bought lasted for only two years. Whether this is an across the board problem, or a Whirlpool issue is unknown.
