Love Whirlpool!

I have a hard time looking at other brands because I love Whirlpool! So it was easy when it was time to replace my almond colored microwave. I liked the sleek look of the stainless steel so I am slowly switching my appliance colors out. Thanks for making such great appliances!

This microwaves overall size is too big!

I just purchased all new appliances and this is the only one of them that I do not like. I replaced an 8 year old Whirlpool over the range microwave whose only fault was that it was white and I upgraded to Stainless Steel. Since all of the other appliances that I purchased were Whirlpool I wanted the microwave to also be a Whirlpool. My previous microwave fit right in to the cabinet surround with just the front showing. I called customer service about the size that I was wanting and they were very helpful but unfortunately Whirlpool no longer makes that size. All of them are a minimum of at least 2" deeper and 1" taller. So my new microwave has about 3" of black sides and bottom showing. To top it off the black sides look like the quality that should be hidden. The microwave protrudes out of and hangs below a standard size cabinet surround and it looks very "UN-custom". I'm sure I won't be keeping this for the long haul and will have to replace it with a different brand that will fit the space better. Other than that, the microwave is a great performer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big Improvement in technology

What an improvement over our GE unit. Cooks quicker. The mounting system is great. Controls are easy to use. Wish there were minute buttons like our old unit.

One of the best features are the automated functions that determine the appropriate time to reheat meals, bake a potato, etc. I??m happy I purchased this microwave.

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CABINET END

I was ecstatic to find a BISQUE Whirlpool Microwave Hood in-stock to replace an older model which was not economical to have repaired. Unfortunately, the new model is designed with a somewhat 'unfinished' metal shell. Since the right side of the Microwave Hood is at the END of my cabinetry, the right side is exposed. It does not look all that bad, but the metal shell VIBRATES LOUDLY during operation. I believe the Microwave Hood is designed to be enclosed by cabinetry on both ends. But, unfortunately, that is not the case in my kitchen. We are living with the vibration, but it is extremely annoying.
