A Nice Microwave That Delivers

It was placed above our range with very little difficulty given the thorough instructions that were included. The preset options for reheating have worked very well and the sensor for the MW popcorn turns out to be "dead on". I also liked being able to set it to "shutdown" when not being used; a minimal power savings but nonetheless a savings. It does seem a bit noisy but I'm not sure anything could be done to improve that "downside". The stylish Whirlpool logo gives it a very nice appearance.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice Appliance - easy to install

We bought a Whirlpool refrig. and this matched it perfectly. Even though that was the first thought for the purchase this microwave has performed very well. The panel and features are easy to use and are useful. The light for the stove and fan are excellent as well. I found the instructions to install was well thought out and understandable. The template was a great idea. It is a well designed and efficient tool in our kitchen

Great features except for one!

I really like this microwave for all its features except that the sound level is so low with no option to set the level higher. I needed to purchased a separate kitchen timer that I could hear when I'm not in the kitchen. Otherwise, a great machine.

At first we thought the light over the range was too far back, but we have gotten used to it. The exhaust fan is loud even though the cfm is just average. Except for popcorn, my few attempts to use the sensor mode, for example, to reheat a dinner plate, resulted in burned food, so I just manually select the power and cook time. The instructions say the clock format has a 12 hour without AM or PM option but this is not true. AM and PM on the clock is pointless.I was replacing an old microwave and did the installation myself, which was easy. I would like the timer tone to be louder but my wife thinks it is loud enough.

I like the detail of the settings, such as REHEAT, and I get to choose between beverage, casserole, dinner plate, etc. I also like to detail of the defrost settings -- they are perfect! So far I haven't "cooked" any of the meats that I have defrosted as I often did in my old microwave. The meats would actually start cooking around the edges while defrosting, but not in this product -- the meat just defrosts!!!
