I looked at many different ovens, I wanted something to work and I didn't need a lot of "bell and whistles"This product fits the need. It works exactly as I expect.

We ugraded to this model because the other models were so cheaply built. We were replacing a five year old model and the quality was just not available in cheaper models.

This microwave does the job it's designed to do. While closing the door felt and sounded better than comparable models, it is still on the cheaper end, feeling and sounding like a lesser quality product.

Good, but noisy

Slightly less powerful than my previous GE (1100 vs. 1200 watts), but does the job. Easy to use with a good assortment of cooking options and features. Heat sensor is not very accurate and very noisy.

When my wife have been Whirlpool fans for many years. When our previous under-cabinet mount Whrlpool microwave finally emitted it's last wave, we saw this unit in the store display, and we were impressed. There was a wait time for delivery to the store which was somewhat inconvenient but not earth shattering. However, when we did get the unit home and unpacked, we found that the range-top light was shattered. I removed the lens and found that the lamp scoket was held in by silicon sealant. Then, to my further dismay, I noticed that the top-mount exhaust grill was mis-aligned. It took several iterations to finally arrive at a satisfactory look. Comparing the fit and workmanship to the previus unit, it is a distant second, otherwise the unit works well.
