Great Design

This is a great microwave. Great features. Whatever "time" recommendations I have, the food turns out perfect. Reheats like a dream. Only negative: My last Whirlpool microwave had a feature where if you wanted 1 to 5 minutes, you only had to hit one button. I miss that!

I like everything about this microwave. It's easy to use and a great price.I looked at many microwaves before I got this one. I read every review on many. This one had the best review by far.I think Whirlpool has the best products on the market. Every thing in my house is made by Whirlpool and would not think of buying any other product. You can't go wrong with this microwave.

Good performance as over-the-range microwave hood combo

Bought this unit to replace previous one that failed after 3-1/2 years due to shorted magnetron. This new Whirlpool microwave hood combo has a more powerful exhaust fan but is actually quieter than the previous one. The microwave oven cavity is large enough (depth & width, but especially height) to accept large casserole dishes and the turntable can be turned off or on easily as needed. The oven has plenty of power and heats evenly. Have not tried the sensor cook feature but have used the other features and all are easy to select with the touch-pad. The kitchen timer can run along with the cook timer, which is a nice feature. Installation was straightforward but definitely requires two people with at least moderate strength to lift and steady the unit during the installation process. Directions were complete but definitely recommend reading instructions all the way through before starting installation. Be sure to set exhaust fan discharge in the correct orientation for your range (into room, back or top exhaust to vent pipe) before proceeding. Did not have to install supplied mounting bracket or drill new holes in overhead cabinet since this was a direct drop-in for older unit that failed. Overall very satisfied with this unit after six months of use.

Some design flaws

This microwave is great for cooking, but has some design flaws. The vent fan is on top of the microwave, not bottom, so the steam from boiling water on the oven condenses on the face of the microwave creating a big mess. It has lots of features, but they take so long to program I usually just end up punching in the time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sizeable cooking

I bought this microwave (over the stove) oven to make it easier to use, look into, and quickness in cooking. It has fulfilled that and more. I could not be more happy with the oven. Plus, I trust in Whirlpool products to use in any appliance I own.
