As far as heating up food, it does the job. The triple beep when the food is ready is shrill and annoying. As near as I can tell, you can't use the cooking function and timer function at the same time. The touch pad is not very user friendly. I often have to touch a button 2-3 times before the appliance responds.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please ensure the protective plastic film has been removed from the control panel as this may impact button response negatively. Regretfully, at this time, we do not manufacture a microwave whose timer function works independently from the microwave, while it is in use. The directions for eliminating the audible signals are found on page 18 in your Owner’s Manual. Display no longer visible

Microwave is only 18 months old and the display is no longer visible! Did online chat and all they could tell me was that I needed to have a technician look at it. No way to brighten display. No matter how easily you try to close the door, it makes a loud noise! Last microwave we had lasted 30 years. It was stll working great , we replaced it because we were updating kitchen appliances. Very disappointed with this
product. Would not recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Big mistake I made. Ordered microwave in July, received in Sept and oven was damaged on the outside. Sent it back, reordered and in Nov the oven arrived, DENTED again in about the same place as first one. Shows me that there is poor quality control going on. Both ovens were dented and the box was not, so that means it came from the factory that way. As for operating, oh geez, the incessant beeping of the oven when time is up. It doesn't stop, it just keeps buzzing until you attend to it. Would have returned oven, but I had already built-in to specs of oven.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
