Cast Aluminum Bubbles

Very displeased with my All-Clad slow cooker with the cast-aluminum insert. Love the fact that you can cook your meats and vegetables on the cooktop, retaining all that wonderful fond. Only problem is that the thin-coat of the non-stick surface bubbles and then breaks through to the metal below the surface. Not sure if this causes any health risks.

Horrible insert

Poor performance on the non stick surface. I have three AllClad non stick products, not their strength. This was the worst, zero customer service. Just bought a replacement insert since I did not want to throw the unit away. I have seen zero response to all of these complaints.

Liner peels

After having for about 1-2 years max the liner started to bubble and peel. All clad will not replace it. The insert costs almost as much to replace as the entire slow cooker cost. I did replace it because I love how the slow cooker looks and functions. It is a shame that the company cannot fix this problem. I will say that my replacement lasted a little longer but now here I am again with the same problem. Very expensive to continue to replace this product.

I bought this several years ago and loved it. I even gave as a gift to newly married granddaughter. Have to tell her now to be careful and watch as insert coating will eventually starting coming off, as mine has and so many other customers, too.. Very dangerous to swallow that stuff! What a shame that All-Clad has such terrible customer service. Will not buy their products, even the good ones, and will be sure to tell everyone I know to stay away from them, too.

Tiny bubbles...

Love this slow cooker since I can put inset on the stove top. As other readers say, I’ve only used appropriate utensils and not heated to extreme temps but bottom has bubbled. Is there a replacement other than non stick??

6.5 Qt. Electric Slow Cooker
on December 8, 2019

I bought the slightly smaler 6.5 qt. electric slow cooker about 10 years ago. I only used it about a dozen times. The "slow" feature did not work very well so I only used the high setting. I got it out again today to use after not using it for about five years and it does not even come on. I tried different wall outlets hoping a breaker had popped. It is definitely the slow cooker. I have purchased many products from All-Clad over the years. I am very disappointed with this one. Obviously, the warranty is long overdue.

Heating element burned out
on February 5, 2020

Received as a wedding gift and use it only during the colder months, which in Houston, is about 1 month a year. Made chicken pot pie and after 5 hours on high (when I returned home), the chicken was still not cooked. Heck, I could even pick up the ceramic insert with my bare hands. This is the second all clad high end appliance I had go out in a year. The larger toaster oven heating element burned out, too. All clad... I am done with you. I will spend my money, and recommend others, spend it on appliances that last longer than a few uses.
