Cooks great, insert flaking
on December 13, 2018
Posted by: Amy
I have had this slow cooker for about 5 years or so. I have always treated it with great care- used nylon and silicone utensils. I love the way it cooks and I love being able to use the insert on the stove top. However, after about a year, the coating on the insert started flaking. I haven't had blistering like other reviewers, so mine is still usable, but I'm frustrated as this was a very expensive, splurge item for me. I felt like it was ok to spend the money because of All-Clad quality, but now I'm disappointed. My next one will probably be a Rival.

Do Not Buy the Nonstick Version
on December 13, 2018
Posted by: Slow in AZ
I had concerns about non-stick in a slow cooker because of the prolonged heat, but with low heat and non-acidic ingredients thought it would be ok. It's not. The coating is bubbling and flaking even with low heat use. The ease of cleanup is great, but it's not worth it at this price and with the health risk. Even with the warranty, I'd gladly purchase a ceramic insert replacement at the equivalent of All-Clad's cost to fix the problem but haven't seen them available anywhere.

Insert bubbles and peels

I have had the same issues with the liner bubbling. When it starts to peel, the teflon material (or whatever it is) goes in to the food. This cannot be healthy to ingest. Terrible product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn't live up to the All-Clad reputation
on December 13, 2018

We bought this slow cooker because we assumed it would be well made. It falls short of our expectations for All-Clad products. First, within a few months of limited use one of the feet broke off. They're poorly designed rubber feet that, with the slightest tug, tear off permanently. That was a minor annoyance because it was wobbly every time we used it. Then, after just a couple of years of infrequent use it simply stopped working. The electronic display was garbled and it wouldn't turn on.

PLEASE FIX THE INSERT PEELING PROBLEM
on December 13, 2018
Posted by: Broken-hearted
I loved this slow cooker when I bought it. Like really loved it. I bragged to people how fantastic it was to be able to brown your meat right in the slow cooker and then kick it over to the slow setting to finish the job. Magical. Until...the insert started to crack and peel and I discovered that this is an incredibly common problem. And apparently they are doing nothing about it?!? For the price point, this is ridiculous. And super disappointing. Save your money.

Bubbling finish on aluminum insert
on December 13, 2018
Posted by: Disappointed
I also own several thousand dollars of All-Clad products. This crockpot will eventually result in a class action lawsuit similar to Teflon! Why not manufacture a stainless steel insert to coincide with the other All-Clad products. The bubbling and peeling of the finish on the insert is really scary and I would not recommend that anyone purchase this product.

Defective coating
on December 13, 2018

After only using it 4 times with only plastic and silicone utensils, the non-stick coating is already coming off. So now it is completely useless. I contacted costumer service to see about a replacement (preferably non-coated). I have All-Clad products that I am very happy with, but this is of clearly poor quality.

Non-stick coating bubbles
on December 13, 2018
Posted by: M K
This product worked great for several years, but I recently noticed that the non-stick coating on the insert was bubbling up in several places. I can't find anywhere that just sells the insert so I will have to throw the whole thing out. Definitely will not be buying another slow cooker from All Clad that only lasts 6-7 years. They make several quality products, but this is not one of them.
