Pretty Good; Lacks Features

I had two options when purchasing a new cell phone and I only chose this one cause it was most uptodate...It is laking very nice features though such as text message signatures, banners, and limited size of sending multimedia.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Solstice is the best cell phone I''ve ever used. After trying it out in the store and using it's many easy to use features I was hooked.

Great cell, speakerphone & voice command useless

Love the phone,especially for texting. The two things I found useless is the horrible echo when using the speakerphone which I used a lot on my other phone and the voice command does not work, at least with my voice which was one of the reasons I bought this phone. From reading a couple of other reviews, might try exchanging for a different Solstice.

Old phone better

The purchase of this phone has been a MISTAKE. The touch screen is poor, the programming is cumbersome, and my OLD Samsung was better. The sound volum is low, I can't get to the contacts, and some of the features are confusing. However, my BIGGEST gripe is there is NO "direction booklet", to tell you how to do anything on this machine. The company does include a product sales CD. Also, the battery goes out much too fast. Overall, a poor buy, I want my OLD PHONE back!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this is supposed to be a messaging phone but it truly is annoying trying to use the keyboard. my hands are not that big but it is always saying i hit the wrong keys, even after numerous calibrations to my touch. the actuator in this device is also somewhat of a issue, it takes a long time for it to realize that the phone has actually been turned or returned to upright. i would not recommend this phone because of that.
on the other hand, the phone does have a widget toolbar on the homescreen which is very convenient for quick access to your most important widgets. it is also customizeable which is nice.
all in all, this phone is not horrible... but if i had the choice i would not pick this device.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I did not like the phone once I received it in the mail. I ordered it online without seeing it in person. At first I thought it was too small and had a hard time getting use to the keyboard/touch screen (because it was so small). I was going to do an exchange, but the price was very reasonable and I did not want to spend more. The con of the phone is that it is too light, I know that some people like that in a cell phone, but I was not happy about it. It felt a little bit cheap to me. However, I purchased a relatively inexpensive case for the phone and a touch screen protector, and I am now very happy with my purchase. It is easier to handle and easier to hold on to. Overall I do like this cell phone. I like the speaker phone, the batter power seems to be quite well in my opinion. I would recommend this phone to someone that could live without a QWERTY button keyboard.

Samsung is no longer a second string player. They've made it to the major leagues. Simplistic features like widgets and the touchscreen make it a breeze to navigate. Some phones incorporate too much overkill but this one hits a happy medium. One can opt for upgrades like gps navigation, mobi tv, or a web connection if they so desire. Even though the screen is small viewing is very sharp. It is so lightweight and compact one hardly notices it. The affordability factor can't be beat. Why buy a more expense smartphone?
