Great phone....except when you try to use the speaker phone. The people on the other end get an echo & can't stand it, so I have to switch back to holding it up to my ear if I don't have my bluetooth handy. Also I'm not sure if it's my phone, or location, but I'm being told I fade out from time to time. I've only had the phone a couple of weeks, so I'll have to check on that!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I used to own a cell phone store, so I know every phone has its quirks, but overall this is an excellent phone not only for the value but for any price. People say there is an echo and although it's heard on speakerphone there is zero echo when using it to your ear, also the echo can be reduced drastically by turning the volume down on the speaker just a notch or two. I am also hard of hearing and the choices of ringers gives ample tones to find something you like not to mention loud enough for people like me. Although I have never owned an I Phone so I can't make a knowledgeable comparison, this phone has more features than the common user could ever want, not to mention I'm sure there are features that I will never use that would be more than useful for the advanced user. I have gone through 12 phones in the last five years, for one reason or another and trust me you will NOT be dissappointed with this phone.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Locking Phone

I just got this phone a week ago, and as of right now i love it. i only have one complaint or request. when you lock the phone with the lock button on top, it shows pictures that are already on the phone from factory and i dont know how to change that. does anyone know how to change the pictures so i can make my pictures the "slideshow" pictures?

Great phone, and fingernail friendly.Wish they would make more phones this way. If you have fingernails this is the phone for you. Real and artificials nails work. the only downside is that the manual came only up to page 60. You can download on the Samsung homepage, just put in this phone Samsung A887 and then you can download to your computer, but Id rather have the book personally.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: manual had only 60 pages

best phone i've ever owned

ive recently got this phone and i got to say im very satisfied with it....its picture qualilty is great....and its video is good too (both are excellent outside)....its speaker is loud (its good but it can be better) the phone has a sleek design and its very light weight....the only thing that kind of bummed me out was that when you lock the phone random pictures show up called screensavers.....you cannot change them and thats kind of annoying.....but other than that the phone is awesome.....i highly recommend getting this phone if your considering it....

IT'S NOT RELIABLE

After a year my touchscreen barely works. When i press a letter/number on the keyboard I never know what will actually show on the screen. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHONE TO ANYONE (EVEN SOMEONE i DONT'T LIKE)!
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, touchscreen not reliable

Does not receive calls or make calls. I have bought so many Samsung phones and this one is the bad product of all. Also the ability of this phone to pick up signal is very poor. My 4 yr old ordinary phone could pick better signal than this fancy one. Poor performance by Samsung for the first time.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
