This was my second Brother printer, having used a monochrome laser printer for many years.
Setup/networking got a bit hairy, but worked out okay. Printer has been rock steady, now, for several months. Quiet, fast, smooth...nothing more I could ask for.

So far seems to be exactly what I need. Color printing and copying are good. Speed is excellent. Price was outstanding. It should be noted that this printer is relatively larger than any printer I have had. I have room for it, and all is good, but it is rather large.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this printer at the recommendation of a friend. While the duplexing is nice, I am not impressed with the print quality or manual feed. Sadly, I would return this printer if I could.

All features of this printer is good. But it lacks a continuous feeder on the copy plate that can be found in the higher price model of Brother printer. Overall I am very satisfied with the performance of the model I bought.

Easy set up,and other than it took me a while to figure out how to use thew scanner (my problem, not Brother's) it works perfectly.

Unreliable in year 2 as networked printer

No problems at all year 1. In year 2 it regularly goes offline and will not print. Built-in troubleshooter is of no help. Only uninstalling and reinstalling fixes the problem temporarily.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
