Slower than molasses in January

Love the quality. Takes 30 seconds to warm up, another 30 seconds to 'receive data' before it begins printing.

Constantly looses wireless connection

Good print quality but constantly looses wifi connection. "No AirPrint printers found" plagues use from iPad. Constantly have to reset devices to print from iPad and reinstall printer to print from Win 10 PC. Once connected it works great but try to print again a few days later and the connection fails. Really prefer laser jet, toner, over ink for maintenance reasons and this printer would probably work great if directly connected to a LAN but we needed, and prefer, wireless.

will not stay connected wirelessly

I hate this printer with a passion. Every single time I use it, i have to remove and re-add it to the network. Every. Single. Time. I've gone over it and over it with support and nothing will make it stay connected. I hate it so much I think I might burn it.

This is my first laser printer. Why I never bought one sooner I will never know. I researched printers for about two weeks before I bought the Brother. It was easy to set up and I like the clean look of the printer. I wanted a color printer that didn't have a fax feature, as I don't fax documents. Sounds like a simple request, but try to find one. Brother to the rescue! Great value for the money.

Nice output, wireless has never worked.

Good color printing, so glad to have a scanner and copier functions again. Too bad the wireless connection has never worked reliably. It can only stay connected to a router until it goes to sleep, and then you have to run the Setup Wizard several times until it chooses to connect. We'll see if it's more reliable over USB.

Meets my needs

Like most features. Only downfall so far, manual feeder. Almost always need to re-feed even though paper initially catches in slot before print. Need to clear jam each time, re-insert paper and start over. Also, print startup is slower than desired.

Great Printer

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing. I upgraded from a Brother B&W laser and this model operates very much the same except in color. The prints have been amazing. I printed some color business cards and they look professional. I found it easy to install and operate. The box is bulky since the printer is very well packed but it was relatively easy to unpack and set-up. Now I no longer have to buy frequent ink refills. I am very happy. Photo print quality is not as good as a high-end inkjet.
