This is the second of these small Vornado fans we have purchased. We have had the first one for a couple of years and since we are experiencing hot weather appreciate having two to help cool down the house at night. The fans are very quiet on low speed but get a bit noisy when on full force. It is not the fan motor which makes the noise but rather the strong current of air. The breeze goes across our living room, about 20 feet, even when on low and both are great running all night in front of open windows on low speed. We have no air conditioning so these two fans cool the house down enough to be comfortable even in late afternoon.
I love the ability to continuously control the amount of air being circulated. The newer fan has a longer cord than our older one which is helpful. For a fan these are expensive but I appreciate the energy savings and quietness plus the white outer material which goes well in our house. Also the warrantee is longer than other fans.

Extremely happy with this purchase. The fan is powerful, yet not too large in size and sips energy. It"s barely audible for the first third of the dial. The highest setting sounds like a box fan, but it is pushing a huge quantity of air at that point. I am using this in a 350 sq ft room and never feel the need to go above half power even on warm days. I plan on purchasing more for other rooms. Also, added bonus that the product is made in the US and that the packaging was eco-eco-concious.

Exceptionally efficient. We sometimes use it pointed up to the ceiling to serve as a ceiling fan. (We’re in a low ceiling rental where installing a ceiling fan isn’t an option). This fan is silent on lower settings and not obnoxiously loud on high. The airflow is unmatched by any other fan we’ve ever had of this type. There’s also a high quality feeling to the type of plastic used in its construction. We appreciate the lower energy expended by their Energy Smart engineering.

Quiet, powerful, fairly aesthetically pleasing, but why is the cord black on a white fan? It's relatively expensive to not get this detail right.

I've been using the 610DC for almost a month. It works great. It's quiet, visually unobtrusive, and circulates air in two connected rooms totaling about 500 square ft. It replaced a 20+ year old Vornado that recently stopped working.
