Very Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first I was surprised to see how small the fan was. However, I was very impressed at how powerful it was when I turned it on. We have a bigger fan that is no where near as powerful as this small fan.
Pros: Adjustable, Compact, Good Power Output, Lightweight, Quiet, Stable Base

great fan but be aware of the power supply

I just can't say enough great things about this fan. I had a similar Vornado for about 15 years and this is an incredible replacement for it. The variable speed control is a huge improvement over the old 3-speed model, and otherwise it feels just as solidly built.
The only drawback here: I kind of wish Vornado had figured out some way to incorporate the power supply into the fan itself, versus putting it in a clunky external power brick. And failing that, the power brick and cord could definitely use a little aesthetic attention -- perhaps woven fabric cord for the DC cord instead of stiff plastic -- and the power supply for a white fan probably should be white as well. None of the product photos on this site show the power supply, which is a tipoff that maybe the manufacturer doesn't consider it very attractive either :)
Still, this is the ONLY negative about this fan as far as I'm concerned. It's a solidly-built appliance I'm sure will perform well for years to come. It's quiet and efficient, and the DC motor and switch are a big upgrade.

I purchased two of these recently and couldn't be happier. I love having infinite ability to control the speed of the fan, and over the noise that it makes. Except at top speed, the fan is very quiet, and it moves air very effectively. I like the fact that the housing is openable for cleaning the blades. The fan was beautifully packed for shipping, too.

I bought this fan for my oldest son who sleeps on a loft (where it can get really hot at night). I asked him what he likes about this fan, and he said that he loves that the controlling is really cool because it’s “like it has 10 speeds instead of just 3 like a normal fan.” Agreed! Also, it’s very quiet and super powerful on the highest speeds. Love it!

This air circulator is a small, silent, energy efficient powerhouse! LOVE IT, period. The only improvement I would suggest is to remove the cheesy looking energy efficient branding which would make the design slightly more elegant from an aesthetics standpoint, but this is in no way a dealbreaker. Can't recommend this model enough!

Perfect for bedroom

This fan is perfect for my wife's personal bedroom fan. Tames her hot flashes. Yet, allows her to precisely manage the wind directions and noise so it does not bother me. Thanks to Vornado customer support for providing the size and noise information which the Vornado site had wrong.

This small white fan works much better than I expected. It is attractive and easy to move from one room to another, or to change the direction of its beam of circulating air. It is quiet. Even at medium speed, it effectively boosts the stream of cool air from a window air conditioner and sends it to the other end of the room and back, with comfort for two or three people, and doesn't send papers flying around. I hope that it will last a long time. I have already recommended it to a number of friends as a very smart purchase.

Have been using Vornado products for over 20 years. We have a small Vornado fan that we use occasionally now but it was once used in my wife's office and she would let it run 24 hours a day for 5 days straight shut it off over the weekend and start again the next week. This went on for 15 years.
The current fan we purchased has a variable speed which we like and is quiet except on very high speed. Expect it to last as long as the other fans we have purchased. Since we just recently purchased it it has not gone into full use as it is now fall and very nice here in Central Oregon.
The Vornado heaters are also great. We have 2 of those to supplement the heat pump on very cold mornings when temps hit 0 degrees or less.
