[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We LOVED this air circulator! We are in April in GA which means cold mornings and hot days! It's too iffy to put the A/C on and this is where our Vornado comes in handy! We use it everyday! It is quiet and the speed is easy to adjust. It is energy efficient as well! It keeps us cool during the day and we simply just shut it off at night. Sometimes we leave it on at night too depending on temp. outside. I love this product and will continue to use it over and over. IT is powerful yet quiet. No rattling!
Pros: Adjustable, Compact, Durable, Good Power Output, Lightweight, Quiet, Stable Base

Get the latest fan technology without all the extra LEDs. Speed is controlled by a simple variable speed knob and there are no unnecessary lights or screens to light up the night.
These brushless EnergySmart fans are easier to move around, more adjustable, significantly quieter, and move more air compared to the old Vornado 673 medium panel fans we've used for years. You can feel the difference when these are running. The old Vornado fans are still going strong but we wanted a few more for the hot summer this year. Definitely recommend paying to upgrade when buying any new fans moving forward.

Love the fan, its great that you can run it at any speed you choose, its pretty quiet and puts out alot of air, I don't think we have turned it off since we got it, use it daily.

Very impressed with the vornado. As other reviews stated, if you have the speed on low you can barely tell it is on. If you prefer the white noise (as when sleeping) it can be turned up just the right amount with the smooth dial - much better control than just low, medium, high. Some reviews explained the power brick as a negative, but this keeps the power transformer outside of the fan housing; hence the quiet operation. Also, this method provides fewer points of failure and will be less likely to short out. All in all it is worth the extra money for a 10-year warranty and a product still made in the US. You'll buy 10 cheapie box fans from China by the time it takes this one to burn out. Thanks for a great product.

I debated purchasing the 610DC or 279T. The 279T is cheaper but ultimately I went for the 610DC because it's energy smart and the variable speed control.The fan arrived VERY quickly (5 days) which was impressive given most shipping delays due to COVID. When I opened the box, I was surprised how light the fan was, it felt cheaply built, plastic and the speed dial also felt flimsy almost loose. The cord is black despite ordering a white fan, which isn't a big deal. The cord also has a 'brick' which ironically makes the cord a bit weighty.
The plastic/lightness concerned me, but it's made it easy to carry it room to room. This model in particular also has a 10Year warranty. It cools a room well. On lower speeds it's quiet enough to sleep through and on higher speeds the humming sound is louder as expected, but so far I haven't had to use it at its highest speed.
I've only had it for a few weeks and so far, I'm happy I purchased.

I was originally going to choose one of Vornado's oscillating models, but took a chance on this one and am pleased. The concept of circulating air in the room, rather than having it periodically sweep across you, works well. We use this in conjunction with air conditioning; our previous home had ceiling fans, and without them, the air feels hot and stale at around 73–76 degrees, but this fan makes it feel pleasant.
Only one small complaint: the electrical guts of the fan are outside of it in a brick, and the cord that actually plugs into the fan is a small thing; I don't know what it's called. Anyway, it pops out too easily. It would never happen during operation, but I move the fan between bedroom and office and when I do so, it inevitably pops out a little and the fan won't turn turn until I push it in all the way.
It would also be nice if the outside wiring and brick were available in white, but that's never going to happen, I guess.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Arrived just in time as our a/c unit stopped working the day after. Just plugged this in and it works wonderfully! Easy to use, powerful and quiet too. Kept medium size rooms nice and cool and you hardly notice that the unit is there because it is not loud. Many different settings to use and easy to move from room to room. Perfect timing and just love this unit.
