bad presser bar lifter

I have been spent almost two weeks to figure out why the presser bar lifter does not left and does not come down my brand new 14CG754 ProFinish Seger. There is not Trouble Shooting on this one.. I live in the State that does not have Singer Service Center. Can some one please help. Also this machine is very complaint to use and tread. I trust the brand and hope to get solution

My old singer of 25 years sadly was tired and done. So I purchased this machine and I have to say is I hated threading it. I have been sewing for 44 years and this machine would not run smoothly at all. It actually ruined an item. Returned it and purchased a Brother. Best decision. Sad not to be using a singer after all these years.
Cons: Difficult To Use, Limited Function, Not Durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wonderful Little Serger

I have had a serger before of a different kind, and I was not happy with it at all, but since getting my singer serger I have become very happy, I do find threading the needles to be the only tricky part to the threading of the machine, as for it been loud, my old one was louder, so I fine this one to be fine.

Have an old Singer Serger, at least 25 yrs old. Although it was a workhorse you better not run out of thread or need to change colors and tension, that's a whole 'nother issue. The main plus of this new Serger is it's easy to change thread and the stitches are beautiful and uniform. It's so easy to use I find myself serging everything. Whst a difference!

Cons: Limited Function

I haven't sewed a thing in about 20 years. i just made my first shirt and I am impressed. At first I thought I wasn't going to get it but then I took a simple free class from my local sewing shop and now I can't get enough. This machine makes simple clothes fast and easy as well as it finishes my seams to a pro finish.

Paid for repair but still didn't work well. Inferior product. It is still a battle every time I use it. I am afraid to change thread, it might stop working. I would not recommend it.

This is my first serger that I baught in 2012 of April and worked with this the first 3 to 4 months with pedal to the floor never heated up and kept going thanks for Singer
