PURCHASED AS BACKUP; USING IT THE MOST

I purchased this machine as a backup to my Singer QuantumLock 14T957DC, a 5-thread combination overlock, chain stitch, and coverstitch. It was getting a little long in the tooth -- still running fine -- but I wanted to have a backup. Also wanted to set up one machine to do the 3- and 4-thead work while the other was set up to do the more advanced work. I have had the Pro Finish machine for about a month and it is fine. I had a little trouble with setting the tensions because it was set up for woven fabric and I was working on a ponte knit. I finally got the tensions set to look as good as the woven sample. My older machine has a little container to catch scraps and this one does not. Other than that, I am very satisfied.

This is my third serger and by far the easiest to use. No problem at all , I have used servers for many years and I remember how hard they were to thread and keep threaded. Sews smooth and I can't wait to try the rolled hem.
Extremely difficult to thread. Very disappointed with the overall performance of this machine. This is my 4th serger in the past 30 years. I am still using my original BabyLock. I know this one won't last even 1/4 of that time. Not great quality.

It took me a while to figure out how to thread it correctly, but now that I can do that, I love this machine! I use it for all kinds of projects, and it rarely lets me down (once in a while the third thread will break off at the needle). I would recommend it as a first serger, though I expect that someday I might want something more powerful. But for now, this machine suits me just fine. Threads easily, color guides keep me from messing that up. Sews evenly. I don't have to do a lot of adjusting on it. I sew fleece liners with two to three layers of fleece for pet cages, and then I sew clothing made with much lighter material. Other than once in a while in a heavy seam, I have never had any problems with it sewing wise. . . once I got past the human errors of not quite getting it threaded through the tension disks just right.
Great machine for finishing doll clothes, but it is great for repairs
Pros: Versatile, took me a while to learn to thread
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love my Singer Serger, it is the best deal. Great price and bonuses from All-Brands. Professional finishes every time. I would recommend this to Advance seamstresses. Not for beginners
