Have bought 8k and 10k units in the past. This unit has all the same features and works great for a bedroom.
The only thing I would change is for LG to bring back their 5 year in home warranty.

Good small air conditioner. Reliable and effective. Side accordion panels aren't quite wide enough for our windows, had to be supplemented.

I bought this air conditioner a month ago at Home Depot.
It is simple and nice design. very easy to use and control unit. It has 3 different fan speed and digital temp. gauge and dry function. also it comes with a small remote control. work well and very convenient. Quickly cool room. This is excellent product

I purchased this as a birthday present for my 17 year old son. His room is at the end of the run for the central HVAC system and does not cool as well as the other rooms. With the wonderful window unit, he gets into bed, turns it on with the remote and can control the temperature throughout the night if needed. He is sleeping much better and performing better in his athletics. Extremely happy that I purchased this product. The only draw back, and this is with every window unit I looked at, is the panels that come with the unit. It would be nice if they were stronger and decreased air flow in and out through the openings.
