I work at night and have to sleep all day. This ac keeps me cool while I sleep but not too loud that it keeps me awake

Best Window AC ever owned!

This window unit has it all! Remote, digital read out, and affordable. I bought this unit after a disappointing purchase from a competitor. I was way impressed with my new LG Window unit. It cools my large bedroom like a ice box!

We bought this window air unit to combat higher temperatures in our upstairs master bedroom, the warmest room in the house. After installing and running it, we were able to raise our central air thermostat to around 78 degrees while keeping our upstairs very comfortable with this unit. Nice and quiet, too. The plastic frames around the shutters could be a little more stiff, or have the shutters lock into place to be perfect, but it does work fine the way it is. Be sure to take out the condensation plug and put in the drain nipple, as the condensation pan did fill up rather quickly on humid days. This is great, though, as it shows how much humidity the unit is able to remove from the room.

I searched all over and read all the reviews and the LG out ranked them all in this class with a 5 star rating. after owning and operating for over 2 months I couldn't agree more with the 5 star rating. this unit does all it promised and more.

Excellent unit, but.......................

It is noisy and has a vibrating noise that is driving my neighbor nuts. The compressor also shuts down hard, making a clucking noise. I tried different things but all failed. I don't want to make a complaint yet, as I have only a month of need for it. I will contact LG over the winter and see what they will do about it. It does do a great job of cooling, which is why I bought it.

This air conditioner is such a great value! It was inexpensive, yet it is very attractive and cools the space very well. I love that it comes with a remote, too. I just can't say enough good things about LG products!
