Wow....to cool

The best feature I liked about this air conditioner was the remote control. I do wish the control would light up while pressing buttons at night. I do like the product and will continue to use LG products.

I've used this A/C unit for 2 summers and it works great. The best thing about it is it survived a 14 ft fall out of my window onto the ground! I was removing it from the window before winter set in.The cord got pulled out of the unit, a few radiator fins were bent and it had a few scratches, but after reattaching the cord it worked fine. I had to glue a few plastic pieces together on the side curtains.
The compressor survived and still delivers ice cold air.

Great Product!!

I purchased this unit as well as a 8000 btu unit to replace my failing central system. They were easy to install, and I had both in and running in no time. It has been just over a month and with temps reaching 105 + they have been keeping my 1200 square foot home cool and comfortable and have been running non-stop!! Plus my power bill was only $50.00 higher than with no air at all!! That was a well received supprize!!

Unit never got cool.

The unit was an anniversary gift from my son. He helped me install the unit in my wife's kitchen window. The unit fan came on then the compressor started. The compressor ran about 3 seconds and shut off. The fan continued to operate. The Compressor attempted to start every 5 minutes or so but only ran 3 seconds before shutting off at each attempt.
I suspect that the unit was improperly charged at the factory, or the coil had an undetected leak.

I purchased this product last year from a big box store but did not install until this year. I gave the sales person the details of where this would be installed which was to replace a wall unit..a small one that had broken down. It had to be ordered on line at the store. I hope will function considering it is in a wall and not a window. I will take partial blame not knowing the details of different types of AC s. I have old push out windows hence why my AC was in the wall. I guess I put too much faith in the salesperson who seemed quite knowledg"d in his department. The unit is working fine at this time.
