Great design, but disappointed in cooling ability.

Design is great, doesn't appear to get small room cold. Also, the lower drain pipe leaks water. Is that lower drain pipe supposed to have a plug?

Hey Hot in New York! I hate to hear about your recent A/C experience. Your A/C drain pipe is supposed to have a plug. The part number for the plug is 5304473999. I hope this helps! Please feel free to reconnect with us directly should you have any other questions or concerns. Courtney

I keep getting error code P1 :(

I've been poring over the manual for this machine and I simply can't find any info about what I can do to fix this problem: after about an hour of (good!) cooling, my machine will beep seven times and show "P1", an error code that means the lower tray is full. It will stop cooling. I have to unplug the bottom drain and let it leak out into a bowl. What bothers me about this is that nowhere in the manual does it say anything about the lower drain!
I can't figure out if I'm supposed to have a tube draining the lower part of this machine. It's simply not mentioned in the manual. I'm very confused, and when I called support, no one on the phone knew why this was happening. Am I crazy? I'm not upset or anything, just totally bemused. Why does my lower drain keep filling, showing an error code, and requiring me to drain it? Am I supposed to have a tube draining the lower tray? Ahhhhhhh!!!!!! It's very confusing!

maddieD, I can only imagine how frustrating this has been for you. Page 10 in the Owner’s Manual for your model addresses the P1 error code. If you have any further questions, please reach out to us directly. Sincerely Ruth

I bought this machine about 2 months ago. It doesn't get used much but when it does it works great.

A must Have!

i live in Florida, my bedroom is on the southeast side of the house. so its gets direct sunlight just about all day long, so my room is usually <=10 degrees hotter than the rest of the house, even with central a/c is on. so this was a great buy. i recommend to anyone that needs just a tad bit extra cooling. perfect for the short summers up north too.

Great air conditioner. It's just like I wanted with the vent to the window. Works good.

It's an air conditioner. It does what its supposed to do.
The cool air comes out the front and hot air out the back (and through a hose). I like the modern and sleek design. I get compliments about how it looks like when people are over. The strength of the air conditioner is probably suitable for an area of 100 sq ft rather than what is stated on the description. The remote is handy but nothing too advanced, if anything I think the remote is too bulk and big for what it does. I don't use the dehumidifier feature so I don't know anything about its water holding/leaking capabilities, but so far so good on that end using just the AC features.
Improvements I'd like to see is the ability to preset how high the front opening opens. When the air conditioner turns on, it automatically opens to the maximum height (which is probably best since cold air sinks), but I like a certain height better. Other than that, its a air conditioner worth getting if it suits your needs.

Fan is strong and quiet. AC worked perfectly for cooling the room it was in... gets a bit louder in this mode. Only issue I found was the need to buy clamps that didn't come with the unit in order to attached the hose firmly at the unit and window. Seemed to work better than most window units I've used in the past.
