poor purchase

This AC simply does not cool my room. I have it on all night (8 hours) and the temp in my room will go from 84 or 85 degrees down to 80 degrees. According to my research it is the right size for my 120 sq. ft. room.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing!

I bought this unit for a small bedroom. 96 sq ft in total. It's a very nice featured unit. But the one thing I needed it to do, it didn't. And that's cool a room. I gave it five days, but it just doesn't cool this little bedroom what so ever. I had no choice but to pack it up and return it. I have two Frigidaire window units and they work awesome. But I needed a very slim unit that fits a window with a security gate on it. And Frigidaire doesn't have anything in its line up that would fit. So I gave this portable a try. Luckily I did find one from a different manufacturer that fit perfectly. So Frigidaire, how about making something that's very slim, maybe potable, with a handle, but fits in a window.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this a month ago and love it! Keeps my bedroom cool for night time sleeping. During the day it also helps keep the living room cool!

we bought this model especially for it's design, works great and is quiet when running. only wish it also had a heat feature, then we'd use it year around. very economical!

mediocre performance

I'm an experienced home builder who sought a reliable AC unit to cool my 8 x 10' office during mid-summer, when afternoon temperatures typically peak in the mid- to upper-80's F. My office is insulated reasonably well... R-16 walls and R-25 above the ceiling. Energy Star windows & door. Exterior is light-colored stucco. At best, the air conditioner maintains a 72- to 74-degree range, running non-stop at max. settings. While this is reasonably comfortable, it's mediocre performance given my small room size (80 square feet, nearly one-third of the reported 216 square foot advertised as the potential coverage), plus the unit's 5000-BTU capacity and according power consumption. I'm surprised that a couple folks who reviewed the product were satisfied with it; I regret purchasing it.

Lowered temperature 10 degrees in the front room

I bought it last year because of global warming. Sea levels are rising and Portland has never been this hot. And the sun is getting closer.

I like it except for being to loud even when I set it on low. I needed it for night sleeping an it is just to loud. I would not recommend.
