Love the TV, but...

This is a great TV, but I don't like the way it does the aspect ratio. I may not know how to do it, but it's difficult to get the picture to fill the screen on most movies. Also, I can't seem to get used to the remote. Great concept, but a little difficult to use.
I am very happy with the picture and the thin border. I have also had a lot of luck with the apps and the internet. In the end, I am still happy that I purchased it.

This Smart TV was a good choice

The quality of this TV has been very good and the performance as a Smart TV has been great. The 3D has also proven to be very good. The wand remote is good, but a keyboard would have been convenient. Overall, I would give it 5 stars!

Amazing Image, Few Drawbacks

First, let me say that this television has one of the most amazing images for a television, period. Despite problems I've had with the hardware itself (all which have been or are in the process of being repaired on-site for free during my warranty period# when this television works it looks amazing.
The television itself is stylish, slim, and doesn't overshadow the viewing experience at all. Including the amazing standby light toggle that is by default set to turn the light OFF when the TV is on so that it doesn't interfere with the viewing experience like on most other televisions.
My only complaints #aside from the issues I've experienced that required repairs# are few, but here they are:
The magic remote sometimes takes a lot more time and button presses to do simple things that a universal remote could do in single button presses in a moment or less. #But you can always get a universal to replace it!#
The TV will not automatically switch between inputs. Even if there are no other active inputs, the TV just sits there waiting for you to pick up the magic remote, wave it around, direct it to the "Yes" button to switch to the active input, and click it. #The TV can tell there are no other active inputs, it can tell you just turned on a new input, it should be able to automatically switch to that new input no matter what. I've seen this on other TVs, I believe even from LG, so I'm surprised it's not working this way by default and that it hasn't been updated with a firmware download to fix it.#

Overall, if you find this television at a good price on sale #which should not be hard to do#, I recommend this to anyone wanting a great television. But if you have an option for an extended warranty I'd recommend getting that as well because I experience several hardware issues within the first six months and if those hardware issues resurface after the initial warranty expires...it would be an expensive set of repairs to worry about, I imagine.

great feeatures -hard to access

not much of an owners manual came with the set -especially for someone as clueless as me. Still can't figure out some of the featuires or navigate thru. It keeps telling me to update as available -but that takes forever. Did manage to have the ghrandkids over for a 3D disney movie we all enjoyed and thye set looks and plays great.

When I started looking to replace my old TV I looked at most of the choices available. I looked at the features and specifications for them and always came back to LG. As I got closer to making a purchase, I tried to find another set that would be as good of a choice. I could not find any other TV's that had the features I was looking for at the price I was willing to pay. I have been very satisfied with my choice and will recommend LG to anyone who asks me.

I am so in love with my new LG Smart TV... it is just WOW! From the super crisp, vivid color imaging to the 3D features and being able to surf the web... I just don't think 'smart TV' is an apt name to truly express the overall greatness of this product. It is a complete entertainment center with so many capabilities, it will give your family hours, days, months and years of enjoyment.
I love the sleek design and how energy efficient it is. And the easy-to-use remote is fabulous! I think it is the best home electronics investment ever! Thanks LG :).

I have not seen a more beautiful picture on any other TV. The features are very user friendly. It was very easy to set-up. Quality is the best. I am truly very happy I purchased this TV and will in the near furture purchase the same brand in a larger size.
