I have the 5.3 cu ft. chest freezer, and I thought it would be easy to open, but when the compressor is kicks in I can not open the lid at all. I would not recommend this product.

Nice little brand name freezer

I purchased as a replacement for an older upright that we used. Freezers this size all seem to have similar features from one another but this one had something most of the others didn't: a brand name that one could trust. Others freezers this size had brands that I associate with compact refrigerators or picnic coolers. Having a brand name that was associated with a real full size appliance company made made making the choice easier.

I have now owned this little freezer for a month. It is super efficient, keeps an even
temperature at all times , takes up little space and just the size I need. It also runs very quietly , just loud enough to let me know when it kicks on. The bright green light is noticeable with just a quick glance I know it is operating.

I bought this about a month ago and have not had any issues so far. I've also purchased the extended warranty from the retail business I purchased the freezer from but don't believe I will need to utilize it. Small and light, doesn't take up a lot of space. I wanted a freezer to leave in my garage for a little extra space and only time will tell how this freezer performs through the season changes.
