It is what I wanted and it works perfectly. . .the freezer keeps things frozen and the refrigerator keep things nearly frozen (that's the way I keep the temperature set, because that's how I like it. The price was right and I'm happy with the purchase!

Our new refrigerator/freezer has many nice features--it's refrigerator compartment is efficiently laid out, with ample fresh produce drawers. Operation and insulation of both compartments is so efficient that we seldom hear it come on--and then it is much quieter than our old model. About the only thing we would have done differently is to not get the ice maker/dispenser--we do use the filtered water feature frequently, but teh apparatus takes so much room that the freezer compartment is limited in size.

We are pleased with the side by side. In the household we have one that likes cold water, 2 that like crushed ice with water, and 2 that like the cubed ice. As for the cubed ice, it seems that it takes very little time for the ice maker to replenish. We shopped around and compared, and this was a good value. It is also a quiet appliance.

We live in a house which is 137years old. The kitchen was built for servants who cooked on a wood stove and food was kept in an ice box. Our new refrigerator was one of very few which would fit in the space available. So far every aspect of use has been excellent.

I love the convenience of the side by side. Great storage space in the door, and it's so quiet. Having the in-door water and ice dispenser is a real money saver. No more opening the door to access the water jug, or get ice. Love the smooth finish too, easy to clean. Very happy with my purchase, and would definitely recommend this fridge.

Overall we have been pleased with our Amana Side by Side. Perfect size for our kitchen. It is hard to find a stainless steel side by side that is short enough. Wish the freezer was bigger, but it is to be expected with side by sides at this height. Only complaint is we can't let the ice maker get too full or the ice dispenser jams up and it won't kick out ice, cubed or crushed.
